Electrocardiogram Technician (EKG)

This program is designed to introduce students to electrocardiography and cardiac anatomy and physiology.

Topics to be covered include basic cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, patient preparation, and patient confidentiality. This program requires the student to perform ten EKG traces. The topics include the identification of irregularities of the heart rhythm and distinguishing common arrhythmias, cardiac modalities, pharmacology, EKG findings of pacemakers, and related subjects.

Program Hours: 5:00 PM – 10:30 PM (In-person)

Requirements:

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Identification card (driver’s license, state ID, Passport)

Program Duration: The program runs for 12 weeks (3 Months) of intense training.
