Phlebotomy

Students perform live blood draws during each phlebotomy class period, including thirty Venipunctures and ten capillary blood draws, and perform CLIA waived Lab tests.

Upon completion of the course, students should be able to perform the following skills: draw blood from patients and donors, evaluate student ability to withstand blood draw procedures, explain blood drawing procedures to patients, and answer questions.

Students must be at least 18 years of age or High School Diploma
